This adventure also includes a visit to the enchanting Limpiopungo Lagoon, the park's informative museum, and an awe-inspiring hike through the Chuquirahuas forest, situated at an altitude of 4,200 meters above sea level.

Our adventure begins with hotel pickups starting at 7 am. We travel along the "Panamericana Sur" highway, taking in its stunning landscapes and diverse ecosystems, all while witnessing the grandeur of the Andes. By approximately 9:00 am, we reach the breathtaking Cotopaxi National Park.

Upon arrival at the National Park, we explore the Park's Museum and the picturesque Limpiopungo Lagoon, where the waters are encircled by small mountains and hills. From this vantage point, you can marvel at the remnants of ancient volcanic eruptions. The area also provides an excellent opportunity to spot a wide range of birds, herds of llamas, and various mammals, including rabbits and deer.

We embark on a fascinating 2-hour trek to the remarkable Chuquiraguas forest, situated 4200 meters above sea level, weather permitting. Here, we will discover the unique flora of the park, such as chuquiragua, pillow-like plant colonies, mosses, lichens, romelios, the tree of god, and mortiño.

Next, we head to the base of the awe-inspiring Cotopaxi volcano, where we take a brief stroll within the park. Following this, we visit the Quilotoa Volcano, famed for its captivating turquoise lagoon nestled within its crater. A short walk around this volcano offers one of the country's most striking and photographed landscapes.

During our journey, there will be free time for lunch (not included). You can choose to dine within the park, enjoying views of the magnificent Cotopaxi volcano, or opt for a meal outside the National Park.

Our return to Quito is scheduled for approximately 5 pm, and you will be conveniently dropped off at your hotel.
