Tour Description

Embark on this unforgettable expedition to uncover all there is to know about the wildlife in the Cuyabeno region. During this three-day tour, you'll immerse yourself in the region's natural wonders, witnessing an array of animals including birds, monkeys, anacondas, alligators, and so much more!

DAY 1

Your journey kicks off with your arrival at the village of Lago Agrio, a border oil tanker hub. From here, a private vehicle will transport us to the Cuyabeno Bridge, where our guide will be waiting. Lunch will be available at a local eatery or the hostel.

Once our guide completes the registration at the National Park, we'll embark on a motorized canoe for a two-hour voyage along the Cuyabeno River, affectionately known as the “river of kindness”. This journey offers breathtaking views teeming with wildlife until we reach the stunning Laguna Grande. Keep your camera ready to capture monkeys, anacondas, alligators, toucans, macaws, and more! This is truly a one-of-a-kind experience!

Upon arrival, we'll take a brief respite at the lodge before venturing out to explore the magnificent Laguna Grande, focusing on bird watching and seeking out pink dolphins. As night falls, prepare to be awe-inspired by the spectacular view that greets us.

We'll head back to the lodge for dinner, where you can relax to the nighttime symphony of the rainforest as you rest up for the second day of our adventure.

DAY 2

After breakfast, we'll take a brief canoe ride to a trailhead in the National Park. Our guide will lead us through the Tierra Firme Forest, sharing insights on medicinal plants, the ecosystem, and the indigenous culture of the forest.

Post-lunch, enjoy some leisure time before we set off on the next adventure—continuing to explore the flooded forest by canoe, where you'll encounter the region's native flora and fauna.

After dinner, we'll embark on a thrilling night sighting expedition with flashlights, seeking out more fascinating species that the wonders of nature have to offer.

DAY 3

Begin the day with an optional bird watching session, savoring the morning serenity of the jungle. Following breakfast, we'll start our journey back, concluding our adventure with one last glimpse of the remarkable wildlife of this region. We'll head to the Cuyabeno Bridge and then board our private transport back to Lago Agrio.
